Drama time again! As I write this the Hill Side Players are preparing for their last dress rehearsal before opening night on Thursday the 22nd. Rather than give some of the interesting plot away I tried to get some behind the scenes pictures this year. Don't miss the production itself. It is hot and heavy with a lot of shouting crying and laughing... and that is just behind the scenes!!!!

The lights are up - No wonder it is so warm on the stage!
Brendan Murphy is director this year. Look out for the large signs around the village!

Cast members Loraine, Catherine and Helen look over their lines

A lot of work goes into the stage every year. Francie and
his team work hard not just on the bits you see, but
behind the scenes. Here he is wiring up behind the
scenes! Good job someone once wrote up which cord to
pull to open and close the curtains or it could get messy!
David will be out the back helping out this year. That whole in the wall
is to help with continuity, which is fancy word for prompting.... not
that we need it you understand!!!
I include this picture of Joe and Loraine not to draw attention to his lovely pink jumper, but if you look closely we still have the price on the lamp in the corner.... We need to get that off before we go on!

The paparazzi is very important to us. Declan above and Matt on the right were both out with us in the week leading up to going on.
|
Brendan gives Paul some last minutes advice but Michelle who
helps out her father with the stage doesn't seem very impressed
with what shes seen. Everyone a critic!!
The full cast this year with Brendan the director.
