Most of the pictures this month come from the little wood just off the road near Glenosheen. Are you going for a walk?
Where there is a clearing in the trees the ferns take advantage!
I know these as Cookoo's Spit. Perhaps someone out there knows the correct name for the little insect inside the pretective "spit".

Out of the wood now, but looking towards Kilmallock spire in the evening haze, you would be forgiven for thinking the whole parish was a wood.
