August 2005 - Kilfinane Festival
Braking with tradition, this month most of my photos are from outside the parish, namely the festival in Kilfinane. Ardpatrick was represented in the Fancy Dress by the Na Fianna Festival. We did Eddie Hobbs and the Rip off republic

Keeping your options open. With the All Irelands coming and featuring Galway and Cork in the Senior and Galway and Limerick in the Minor, the Griffins are divided in their support. On the left is a Galway flag, put up by Anne. Jim is from Cork, hence the flag on the right and Theresa is at least a Limerick person
Pat Casey working on the Ardpatrick Float in Pat Mcgraths shed
Some of the crowd in watching the Hurling and the Tug of War
On the left Blackrock play the Stakers in the Dinny O'Dea cup. Blackrock are playing in their alternative colours of Blue and Yellow. Above Eammon accepts the cup following a good match which Blackrock won by two points
In the Tug of War Ardpatrick was represented by the RAMS, sponcored by the Greenwood Inn
Taking up the strain. Sorry the pictures are so poor but the light was going
Carmel O'Sullivan in the Fancy Dress Parade as Mary Harney
Pat Mac and Richy on the float with Carmel Murphy in between
The Sparlings have started to gather, a sure sign of the approching winter
